Evan Ambrose (he/him) started his dance training at 18, back home in Sweet Home Alabama. Evan studied with the Huntsville Ballet School and Company for two seasons. He continued his training by joining Charlotte Ballet as a Trainee for the 2017-2018 season, and the following year, Evan attended The Rock School For Dance Education (2018-2019). He obtained his first company contract with Alabama Ballet for two seasons (Company Artist, 2019-2021).
Evan participated in several world premieres and performances with Ballet22 throughout 2020-2021, and later fully relocated to the Bay Area in August of 2021.
Since moving to the Bay Area, Evan has been a Company Artist with Ballet22, Oakland Ballet, and San Jose Dance Theatre. In addition to dancing professionally, Evan is on the Youth/Teen Division Ballet Faculty for ODC’s 2022-2023 School Year, Blackbox Studios teaching faculty (Ballet, Pointe, Jazz Funk), and a Certified Personal Trainer (ISSA) with FitnessSF, Oakland. Evan is also a nationally recognized, award-winning choreographer.
Evans style of teaching/coaching has strong emphasis on mind muscle connection. Evan’s HIIT style workout allows the body to produce those long, lean, toned muscles to help cross train and elevate the dancer's performance/stamina to the next level.
