Chaya Wurman (she/her) is a dancer from Boulder, CO with over 15 years of experience across a multitude of styles. She began her dance journey at Boulder Ballet School, focusing on classical ballet. At Carnegie Mellon University, she expanded into contemporary and improvisation, eventually serving as the Artistic Director of Infra Dance Company, a student-led contemporary dance group. She continued her training in New York City, training hip hop, jazz funk, and street jazz at acclaimed NYC studios while performing as a company member with Danceworks NYC. Now based in San Francisco, she is a member of the Oakland-based team INQ Dance. Her contemporary class explores dynamic textures, movement pathways, and embodied emotion — inviting dancers to connect technical precision with authentic expression.
