AMENITIES:
Can I hold a workshop or my own private lesson?
Yes. Studio 1 and Studio 2 are great for privates and workshops with high ceilings, wall-to-wall mirrors, and state-of-art sound system.
Do you have additional chairs for larger parties?
Yes, additional chairs can be accommodated per room. Please advise how many chairs are needed for your party.
Can I have food and drink catering?
Yes, catering if allowed as long as the space is returned in it's proper form. All compost, recyclable items, and trash needs to be placed in the lobby within the proper containers. If you plan to have catering and need an additional table set up on the side, please let us know if in advance.
Do you have a projector for presentations?
Yes. We do have projectors, screens, as well as a smart TV available to use for presentations, video conference, and for entertainment purposes. HDMI to HDMI and auxiliary cables are available.
Please contact us in advance if a projector or any additional equipment is needed for prior set up.
Are there any sound issues I should know about?
If you are using the space that requires noise control, please make the request prior to your rental.
We are primarily a dance studio with classes from the hours 5PM - 10PM (Monday - Friday) and 9AM - 2PM (on weekends). It's generally quiet during on the weekdays time day -- Great for those looking to host business meetings or needing a shared workspace.
What color photo backdrops are there?
Photo backdrops are found in Studio 2. Colors available: White, yellow, red, sky blue, grey.
Do you rent lighting equipment?
We do not have any lighting equipment or soft boxes available to rent.
Am I able to rearrange the furniture?
Yes. You are welcome to rearrange our furnishings to accommodate your group. Please return the space in way it was found and be mindful of the wood floors. Fees may be incurred for any damaged to the furniture, equipment, or space.
Is there a cleaning fee?
Yes. There is a $150 cleaning fee if the room is not returned in the order it was found. We ask that all dirty dishes be placed in the designated area. Additional fees may incur for any damaged furniture, equipment, or to the space.
How do I enter the building?
Location: We are not a storefront studio. Rae Studios is located inside the Native Sons Building on the 7th floor, overlooking downtown San Francisco. We are one block from Union Square Park on Mason Street, between Post Street and Geary Street. We are easily accessible by MUNI and BART. Look for the Native Sons Building next to August Hall. If you are facing August Hall, the Native Sons Building is on your right hand side. Rae Studios 414 Mason Street, Suite 705
San Francisco, CA 94102 Entering the building: Please use the intercom to the right of the entrance to dial "705 Rae Studios" on the contact list. Someone will buzz you in. We are on the 7th floor.
Parking: Limited metered street parking are available. You can also park at a nearby garage. The cheapest nearby garage is under Union Square Plaza. BART:
Get off at Powell Street Station. Take the exit A1 towards Powell Street, Cable Car / Union Square. From the cable car turnaround, walk up Powell Street towards Union Square. Take a left at Geary Street and a right at Mason Street.
MUNI: Buses: #2, #3, #8, #8AX, #8BX, #30, #38, #38R, and #45 all stop within a block or two from Rae Studios.
Metro Subway: T line (stop at Geary) or J, K, M, and N (stop at Powell)
Caltrain:
Exit 4th Street then take either buses #30 and #45 (stop at Stockton St & Sutter St), #31 (stop at Cyril Magnin & Market St), or Metro Subway T Line (Stop at Geary)

We are located downtown SF. We highly taking public transportation like BART or MUNI, Lyft, Uber, walking, if able.
