Ananya Verma is a Bay Area native educator, choreographer, and creative director, trained in Hip Hop, House, and various Indian Folk & Classical styles. Her work with her crew (the Samasyā Crew) is largely rooted in exploration, community representation, and movement research. Along with the crew and her studio in South Bay, she owns a Desi streetwear clothing line (the Ananya Collection) and teaches across a diverse age range, embodying movement practices in whatever space she exists in. As a battler, dancer, and forever learner, she deepens her art by exploring various fusion strategies, across cultures, styles, and ideas. She views choreography workshops as a window to her to storytelling methods of dance history, and cannot wait to exchange with the Rae community!
