Train with one of your favorite instructors and showcase your journey.
Each workshop series instructor is highly trained and knowledgeable in their practice and will guide you through a series of rehearsals to build a deeper relationship in their movement background. At the end of the series, Rae Studios will host a live showcase featuring all of our performance workshop instructors, students, plus special guest performers.
As a participant, you will receive personalized training, feedback, and resources from our instructors. You'll learn, rehearse, and perform a set personally made for your cohort. You'll also have the chance to show your friends and family all the progress you've made in your workshop series.
Review this section for guidelines and policies related to student participation in the performance workshop series.
Guidelines, Policies and Expectations:
Students participating in the showcase are required to sign the student agreement form to take part in both the series and showcase. The following is outlined in the studio agreement form:
Students participating in the workshop are expected to attend all rehearsal sessions leading up to the show.
Students are expected to be available and present the full show day to complete and on-sight dress rehearsal in addition to preparations for the show.
Students are only permitted one missed rehearsal with prior approval from their instructor. More than one missed rehearsal may result in removal from the series + showcase.
Students are expected to be at rehearsals on time with prepared material from the last rehearsal. Students who are frequently late to rehearsals or come to rehearsals unprepared may be subject to removal from sections or the entirety of the whole piece based on the discretion of the instructor.
Students are expected to maintain a professional attitude for the duration of the series. This includes, but it not limited to:
Respect towards the instructor, staff and fellow students.
No intoxication during rehearsals or performance. No drugs near or around rehearsal or performance locations.
Respect toward other showcase performance groups and performers. This is a performance, not a competition.
Drop in sessions are only permitted for the first rehearsal. Registration will close following rehearsal two.
Group Class preparation ahead of the PW:
Students attending a given workshop must be training in that style for up to 6 months.
Foundations classes are available to receive more foundational training for the styles of your interest. We highly recommend taking these classes in preparation for the PW and leading up to the showcase.
Specials Partners, Vendors, and Amenities:
Each student participating in a workshop series will receive a special discount code to share with friends to receive 10% off on tickets for the show. Discount code will be available when ticketing launches.
Students are expected to provide their own makeup and outfit for the showcase, unless indicated otherwise by the instructor or management team.
