INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT | Elevate your Cardio Dance Instruction!

Are you an aspiring dance or fitness instructor? Are you looking to improve your teaching skills?

Rae Studios presents the Instructor Development Program.

The Rae Studios Instructor Development Program is designed to help new and current dance and fitness instructors develop their skills and strengths in teaching.

In this program, students will gain basic teaching skills such as (but not limited to) communication, organization and flow, choreography and marketing. Classes are offered on a monthly basis with style/format changing from month to month. Check our blog page for updates and class offerings.

All levels of teaching experience are welcome. Whether you are a new teacher looking to gain knowledge in the dance/ fitness pedagogy field or you are a more experienced teacher looking for ways to make your classes more structured and easily flowing then this program is for you.

Meet the Instructor:

Jessica Rae is a Filipino business owner and educator around movement and entrepreneurship. She is the founder and CEO of Rae Model & Talent Agency LLC and Rae Studios, located in downtown San Francisco, California. Jessica graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Speech and Communications and a lifetime advocate of dance and the arts.

She is an energetic certified Group Fitness and Dance Instructor with a strong background in Cardio Dance, Kickboxing, MMA, and dance choreography.  She promotes healthy minds and bodies through music and movement while building a strong community motivating people to move outside their comfort zone.  Her certifications include: GF, AFAA, CPA and First Aid, Pound Pro, Cize Live, Barre Certified and has been seen coaching for Gap HQ, Athleta, Lorna Jane, Fitbit, William-Sonoma, Airbnb, Eventbrite, Salesforce, Facebook, Marriott, San Francisco Middle School, Dare to Bare amongst other established corporations.  

Jessica currently teaches weekly classes at Equinox and Rae Studios.

Course Descriptions

PART 1: Programming & Foundations (02/22)

In this course, instructors will review the fundamentals of building out the classroom.  How to set up the room, the vibe of the space, class flow, and most importantly, is the programming of this course effectively meeting the needs of the students and employer.  The program of each class is designed to teach, educate, provide a fitness element, move bodies safely, community building and provide empowerment. This class will allow the teachers to breakdown each step in their own methodology and authenticity as a leader of their class.

PART 2: Teaching Method: Creating Master Cues (02/29)

How do teachers teach, talk non-verbally, verbally, provide modifications, fix alignment and be their students' cheerleader.  In this course, teachers will learn the Mastery of “Setting the Stage” of teaching and delivering clean concise Master Cues through various channels of communication.  Be ready for a Q&A verbal test along with physical tests to ensure the art of cuing!
