Happy Earth Month! More Than Movement is celebrating by highlighting just some of the ways that you can live a more sustainable, eco-conscious lifestyle while continuing your dance journey.
1. Carry a reusable water bottle
At least 14 million tons of plastic end up in the ocean every year (2021)
Reduce your plastic waste by carrying a reusable water bottle with you! (just make sure to clean it)
2. Thrift your dance wardrobe
The United States wastes 21 billion pounds of textiles per year (2021)
Consider thrifting your next dance outfit rather than investing in fast fashion
3. Advocate for environmentally safe dance spaces
If you're a dance studio owner or student, advocate for an environmentally-safe dance space that provides more ventilation and reduces loud noises.
4. Carpool, take public transit, and/or walk to dance classes and events
Reduce your carbon footprint by carpooling with friends, taking public transit, walking, or biking.
5. Participate in local climate protests
