Nearly a year ago, we proudly introduced our exclusive Varsity Jackets, designed specifically for our dedicated Monthly Members who have been with us for three years or more. Today, the Rae Studios team is excited to share an update, complete with details for those eligible and some fantastic photos of students who have been sporting their jackets over the past year! Each jacket is handcrafted and priced at over $400, reflecting the love and care that goes into making them. However, these jackets are COMPLEMENTARY for eligible members. We hope they’ll become timeless keepsakes that mark your journey with us.

Check out our patches and their meaning below:

Along with your personal customization, we are including custom patches for every year you're a member with us. Everyone's first patch will be a smiley face patch as it will be a commemoration for receiving the jacket and completing 3 years at the studio! The rest are as follows:

3 years: 😊 A smiley face to start with as a congratulations on receiving a jacket!

4 years: 🌴 A palm tree to symbolize resilience and peace. Both being a influence on how the studio is represented and the energy that the space provides.

5 years: 🍍 Half way mark to 10 years! A pineapple to symbolize a Rae Studios staple- knowing and recognizing your roots. How sweet!

6 years: 👟 A sneaker to show that you have been moving and grooving with us and all the hard work it took to get here.

7 years: 🎵 What's dance without music? Understanding the elements of music and it's relation to dance- being able to create a relationship with both over the years.

8 years: 📻 Boombox baby! An event that has been created and thrown by Rae Studios and that we have offered to our community. We give this patch as a completion of 8 years and being the basis of the sounds that move us.

9 years: 🌿 These Monstera leaves are a symbol of growth and abundance! Nearing almost 10 years, the positive energy that you have given us is given back. Here's to more growth!

Where

Caring for Your Varsity Jacket

It is important to us that our veteran members can use these jackets for as long as possible. That is why we brought you some tips to take better care of your varsity jacket as you get to enjoy the wonderful perks of being a long term Rae Studios member.

Our jackets are made of 3 materials – polyester satin (inside coating), wool (outside torso), and leather (arms). Each material has separate care processes meant to make it last longer. Here are some care tips from the manufacturers of the jackets themself:

Polyester Satin

Spot clean with cold water and mild detergent
Air dry—no heat! Satin likes to shine

Wool

Use a lint roller or soft clothes brush
Dry clean only (wool’s a little high-maintenance, but we love her)

Leather

Wipe down with a soft damp cloth
Use conditioner to keep it smooth and stylish

No washing machines, EVER.

These jackets are made to last a while, especially with the right care, that is why it is important to follow these tips while you can. You never know, you might get that 10 year patch in hopes of a perfectly maintained jacket!

The Monthly Unlimited Membership allows you to take any and all weekly classes offered here at Rae Studios. While most traditional dance studios operate on single and class package options, we thrive on community and growth. With over 40+ classes on our schedule students have found the monthly membership to be a great pathway to increasing their skill level, exploring different areas of dance and fitness, and building community amongst their fellow dancers. There is a six month commitment upon signing up for the membership. You are welcome to pause your membership if you are traveling or unable to take classes for a certain amount of time. After the initial six month commitment, students can cancel at any point by notifying our management team.
