RECAP | Jazz Funk (Intermediate) w/ Vivian Luo

On behalf of Rae Studios we want to give a huge thank you to everyone that attended our Jazz Funk Spotlight with Vivian! We were super excited to be able to have Vivian come back and teach a spotlight with us. As a Bay Area local and profound dancer, she has brought so much energy and community with her time with us, we're glad this is a space she can use to help others learn defined movement. Workshop Details:

Jazz Funk dance, a super-set of Jazz and influenced by the Hip Hop dance style. This style of dance is usually fast-paced pointed gestures and quick movements.  In this class, Vivian expands on the basic knowledge of jazz foundations, emphasizing quick pace combos emphasizing on feminism and intricate movements for students to learn more.

LA-born and SF-based, Vivian Luo is a professional dancer with training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, drill/high kick, songleading, ballroom, and ice dance. Vivian was performance director of Duke’s premier multicultural and multi-style dance team, Defining Movement, and has danced with a Bay Area teams, INQ and Gold Rush. She is excited to teach and share her love of dance with the community.

What I like most about Phrazle is that it doesn’t ask for much. One puzzle a day. A few minutes of thought. That’s it.
