Kris Shein (he/him)

Jazz Funk [Intermediate]

Wednesdays, 5:30pm (In-Studio)

Hey, I’m Kris! I was born and raised in Latvia, and I made the big move to San Francisco in 2019. Dance has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember—it’s my way of expressing joy and energy. I’m all about bringing power and passion to every performance. You’ll often catch me online, sharing dance videos, or out and about in the city, teaming up with other independent artists for pop-up performances.  I love to mix dance styles—bringing in powerful moves, energetic music, and a global vibe. With education from Europe and dance knowledge here in San Francisco, I enjoy to bring different cultural influences into my work. If you think of me, think Beyoncé or Britney—but with my own twist, powered by a blend of cultures and a bit of that pop star energy.

She has created several original contemporary works, notably through the aMASSiT choreography residency. Since relocating to San Francisco in 2024, she has taught contemporary classes and workshops while training regularly at RAE Studios, ODC, Citydance SF, and Lines Ballet.
