General Ticket Prices moving up to $15 to ensure Artist Compensation
Hi Everyone!
We are officially in our twenty first week of quarantine. As some of you know, covid-19 cases have been increasing in San Francisco and most business have halted their process on reopening. As we continue to move forward, we, as a small business and as artists, are stuck between increasing our ticket price points to ensure instructor and staff compensation and losing potential customers / revenue.
We originally created this platform to give something back to our community and instructors as a way to temporarily stay in business as we hoped just like many other businesses to reopen. But as we continue to progress through shelter-in-place, we have to look around and realize that this is the new normal. At the beginning of Shelter-in-Place, we created the $8 price point as a way to be considerate of everyone's financial need. We quickly learned that we could not sustain this business model without proper ticketing and increased our prices to $10+. Now, we learning that if we have hopes of reopening or increasing operations, we have to change our business model and ultimately our prices. These prices will continue to affect and support our instructors and overall operations to ensure us staying in business. Our normal drop-in rate before COVID-19 was $22. Our new drop in rate is $15. Here's the new ticket price point updates:

We understand that a jump like this may affect reservations, PLEASE, if you cannot afford a class, we ask that you kindly reach out. At the end of the day, we are artists and we want to see artists grow. We have a volunteer program that offers opportunities to support Rae Studios and attend classes for free.
To those that have been with us since the beginning, thank you for your continued support. We've had so many gifts sprinkled throughout these 21 weeks that helped keep our lights on and internet running for our Virtual Classes. To our volunteer hosts, your smiles and efforts have been instrumental in keeping the business running. We are so lucky to have such an amazing supportive community.
