Spotlight Recap | Instructor Questions:

1.  What were your initial thoughts as you completed this workshop?  How do you feel as the instructor/host? Every time I feel I learn something new as a teacher that will help me grow and develop the class. Next time I might like to break down the layers of massage so the students can get a better understanding of what techniques might work best for there current skin type/concerns


2.  What did you do/teach differently in this workshop in comparison to your weekly classes at Rae? I felt more comfortable with the flow and being more interactive with the students. Id like to keep improving on this aswell as get the music vibe down.


3.  What was your most enjoyable moment?

Seeing the students work so beautifully with their hand movements. Getting to know them better with the end q&a

4. What are you hoping to share with your students who missed this experience?

to please jump in the next class! all classes will be open to beginners aswell as returning students. Each week I would like to add in some new techniques and flow while maintaining an easy to follow and learn guideline. Getting student feedback of what they would like to focus on is always helpful.


5.  Any additional bts photos / videos please share a dropbox so that I can relink them on a dedicated blog post.  

I plan on doing a video this week covering the 3 main techniques for face massage. To can give students a glimpse of what will be covered that week and each week I can post a new short video with a new topic related to face massage that can tie into the upcoming class.

Aine McAteer is a creative personal chef, food writer and educator. Her background as a chef to actors, musicians and athletes has given her the opportunity to travel worldwide and explore other cultures through their foods, which adds flavor and dimension to her culinary creations. At an early age, Aine discovered the power of food to impact her health and wellbeing and it became her passion to follow a path of discovery and learning that has evolved into a rewarding career. She takes joy in sharing her delicious health supportive food with people around the world and in inspiring people to reach new levels of vitality and wellbeing in the most creative and delicious way.

IN YOUR KITCHEN WITH AINE

Aine will introduce herself and give a brief talk about what got her interested in healthy eating - the impact of diet on health and wellbeing and share some wisdom from her adventures in the food world. Each participant will receive an ingredients list in advance so they have an option to cook along with Aine. We’ll start with a chia parfait, which can be either a breakfast or a dessert. Then we’ll prepare a rainbow salad jar with a mango balsamic dressing and a veggie lunch wrap. There will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions and interact as we cook. Prepare your ingredients here (try to gather these, Aine will also offer substitutions)!


INGREDIENTS LIST:

2 CANS ORGANIC GARBANZO BEANS  (1 for salad jars and 1 for pate)

CHIA SEEDS (can use white or dark)

RAW CASHEWS (1 cup approx.)

MAPLE SYRUP or HONEY (or other liquid sweetener of choice)

APPLE JUICE (or other fruit juice)

ALMOND MILK (or other milk of choice)

BALSAMIC VINEGAR MANGO OR OTHER FRUIT VINEGAR OLIVE OIL SEA SALT

BLACK PEPPER SMOKED PAPRIKA CUMIN SEED (Ground) VANILLA EXTRACT

TORTILLA WRAPS (or CRACKERS)

BERRIES 1 MANGO 2 GOLDEN BEETS 2 RED BEETS 1 BUNCH CELERY 1 CUCUMBER 1 JICAMA

1 SHALLOT

FRESH PARSLEY 1 LEMON

1 AVOCADO

1 TOMATO

ARUGULA OR OTHER SALAD GREENS

Skin Fitness:

Jenny is a holistic skincare expert with over 16 years experience in the spa and wellness industry. She holds advanced level certification in Sculptural Face Lifting Technique from master teacher Yakov Gershkovic. She is also certified in Gua Sha, Facial Reflexology and is a graduate from Dr Vodder Academy International in Advanced Level Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage. Jenny is a firm believer that the products we put on our skin, like the foods we consume must be ethically sourced and where possible include organic ingredients. With the combination of high level training and active product ingredients her goal is to provide the most effective outcome to your long term skin health and wellbeing.


  • CIDESCO trained esthetician - this is the highest international qualification in the esthetics industry.

  • Sculptural Face Lifting Technique - One of a handful of therapists in the United States trained in this technique

  • Buccal Massage - which has become well known due to Megan Markle being a big fan of this treatment


You will learn facial exercises and a massage routine to lift, tone and sculpt the face.  We will also be working on the facial meridians to calm the nervous system, increase circulation and detoxify the skin for ultimate skin glow.  This is a fun interactive class with instant results. Come prepared with the following:


  • Clean face & hands

  • Your preferred face oil or whatever you have easily available

  • Favorite eye and lip balm and hydrating toner e.g. rosewater

  • Comfortable clothing to allow us to work chest area too.
