Angelica Medina & Jahaira Fajardo | Bachata, Salsa

Angelica Medina and Jahaira Fajardo are the directors of In Lak’ech Dance Academy in Oakland, CA. They both share an immense passion for dance. In 2014, they met and fell in love on the dance floor. They soon after decided to grow as dance partners while training for competition. In December 2015, they placed 1st in the Latin Ladies Same Gender Division at the World Latin Dance Cup. Jahaira made history as the first Bachata female leader to become a World Champion. In 2018, they returned to to WLDC as pros and placed first in the Bachata Couple Pro Cabaret division. Read More.

Alicia the Dance Dragon Slayer | Popular Afro-Diasporic Dance

Alicia the Dance Dragon Slayer is a dance instructor and specialty dance workshop facilitator. Her Diaspora Dance class is an all-levels Caribbean vibes meet Afro-Pop dance party experience. She also provides Essential Black Joy through Dance specialty workshops for schools and organizations.


Alicia is also a Dance Inspiration Coach. Through one-on-one coaching and intensives, she helps dancers make mindset shifts, self-worth transformations, and provides strategic business planning for greater confidence & success. Read More.

Desiree Woodward-Lee | Tahitian

Desiree is the director and owner of O Hina’aro Nui School. O Hina’aro Nui is a school of Tahitian Dance and Music based in Brisbane, CA. Their passion is to share the Tahitian Dance and Music culture to everyone who is interested. Desiree is also a professional dancer with Na Lei Hulu I Ka Wekiu. Read More.

Dopey Fresh | Turf Dancing

Born and raised in San Francisco, Dopey Fresh was always dancing but early on, he couldn’t find a family to understand his style until he saw Turf dancing in the SF clubs. He immediately fell in love with the unorthodox style and started battling, creating a unique Turf formula along the way.


At a young age, you would always find him street showing in downtown SF but it was when his friend brought him into a dance crew that things changed forever. That dance group was Giggiology, now called UNKNOWN. Read More.

Enakshi Vyas | Kathak, Bollywood, Classical Fusion

Enakshi Vyas is the Artistic Director and Founder of Elite Naach Academy, a non-profit dance organization, committed to uniting communities, spreading joy, and teaching self-empowerment through dance. Her training includes, but is not limited to Kathak, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, various Indian Folk styles, and Bollywood dance. Read More.

Jessica Rae | Business, Pop Jam, Cardio Dance

Jessica Rae is the founder of Rae Studios and Rae Agency in San Francisco, a local dance and fitness studio located in San Francisco's Union Square. Paving the path for bay area dancers and instructors by creating platforms for job opportunities. Obsessed all things business, dance, entrepreneurship, plants and organized hacks. Jessica's teaching dance background and certifications include Cardio Dance, Cize Live, Pound Pro, Kickboxing, and Barre along with various styles of dance choreography. Read More.

Jocquese Whitfield (SirJoQ) | Vogue

SirJoQ is a dancer/choreographer/MC born and raised in San Francisco. He is the first Vogue instructor of San Francisco and has been teaching his Vogue & Tone classes since 2010. Starting his career steeped in the improvisation of freestyle hip-hop, Jocquese has added modern, classical, and Diasporic dance traditions over the last several years.


He has been a member of City Shock San Francisco, F.B.C. (Funk Beyond Control), and UFO Movement, J. Jun Productions and is currently dancing with M.O.M. (Mind Over Matter). Read More.

Kyra Birks | Heels, Hip Hop

Kyra Birks is a Heels/Hiphop Dance Choreographer. She is the owner and founder of Paradise Dance Studio located in Fremont, CA.


The founder of Paradise Dance Studio, Kyra Monique Birks, has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She is proficient in Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe Ballet, Lyrical, and Contemporary genres. She started her studies at Adage, which helped form her fundamentals in ballet, tap and jazz. She then formalized her dance studies in all genres at Jensen Performing Arts. Read More.

Nikka Maynard | West African

Nikka Maynard, raised by parents that were born in Trinidad and Tobago, grew up in the cultural and diverse city of Berkeley, CA. In the late 1980s she formed her own hip hop group called red n' black licorice. At the age of seven her parents groomed her to be an entertainer. The hip hop group would open up for her parents Reggae and Calypso band "Caribbean Allstars". She would enter in talent showcases all over the Bay area with her troop winning first or second place. By the age of 15 she entered Berkeley High School and took her first Afro-Hatian dance class with Mama Naomi Diouf. Read More.

Robert Yu | Open Style Choreography, Wushu

Robert Yu is an international choreographer/dancer/martial artist from the Bay Area. He specializes in Open Style Choreography and Wushu, a Chinese martial art. Robert is also the founder and director of Raw Art Within and HAKI (personalized dance training program).


He is inspired by all kinds of art (visual, photography, videography, editing, etc). He loves creating choreographed pieces and dances. From freestyle videos to conceptual dance albums, Robert creates to inspire others around the world. Read More.

Tania Santiago | Afro-Brazilian

Born and raised in Salvador, Bahia, Tania Santiago grew up in the heart of African-influenced Brazil. She has taught, danced, and choreographed for the most well known companies in Brazil. Tania has also extensively studied other forms of dance such as Jazz, Ballet, West African, Afro-Cuban, and Modern dance. She spent six years working with Olodum, a highly respected and internationally acknowledged Bloco Afro in Brazil. Tania also choreographed and performed for Olodum on television, at concerts, and at music festivals. Read More.

Victor Talledos | Horton, Ballet, Contemporary

Victor Talledos is a professional dancer, educator, choreographer originally from Mexico City, based in San Francisco, CA. He is currently part of the faculty at Alonzo King Lines Ballet, Berkeley Ballet Theater and previous guest artist for Mills College, SOTA, CCSF. Victor teaches a variety of dance forms including Horton, Contemporary and Ballet. He is trained in Classical Ballet, Modern Dance, Contemporary Dance and later in life obsessed with movement research, improvisation and exploration. Read More.
