We were super excited to be able to have Lexi come back and teach a spotlight with us. As a former instructor of the studio, she has brought so much energy and community with her time with us, we're glad this is a space she can still call home. Workshop Details:

House is a club dance originating in the late 1970s/early 1980s in the underground clubs of Chicago and New York. In this workshop, Lexi will weave in history and culture while teaching you the foundations of each dance form and providing a training toolkit. House emphasizes freedom and feeling the music. In this all levels workshop, we will focus on House foundations and use freestyle exercises to build confidence, creativity, and community. Students will gain new foundational skills to use and practice in other classes and in their personal dance journeys. Lexi encourages her students to attend House dance sessions, classes, and events to immerse themselves and build community.

Lexi Nutkiewicz (she/her) is a Rae Studios and Rae Agency alum that is now based in Denver, Colorado. She worked as a professional dancer, choreographer, and teacher for the past six years in the Bay Area, and has competed in several dance battles including Summer Dance Forever, Hella House Collective's Elevation Dance Battle, Paying Dues, Marquee Madness, and SJ Waacking's Mini Jam. Her goal as a teacher is to educate her students about the history and culture of the dance forms and create an inclusive and positive environment for her students to grow as dancers.
