RECAP | Seduction & Floorwork with Jazmyne Blackson

Oh la la, now that's what I call a sexy spotlight! On behalf of Rae Studios we want to give a huge thank you to everyone that attended Seduction & Floorwork with Jazmyne this past Saturday! We hope our students were able to channel their own unique brand of sensuality, gas up their self-confidence, and walk away with only a few bruises from all that killer floorwork. As always, thank you Jazmyne for hosting another successful Seduction & Floorwork class at the studio - you really put the werk in twerk!

Meet the Instructor:

Born and raised in the heart of the Bay Area, Oakland California. Jazmyne AKA your twerk goddess Twerk-a-rella, would like to think the inner city movement had a lot to do with becoming the twerk goddess she is. Jazmyne began her dance journey at 10 years old when she joined the dynamite cheer and dance team. At age 15 she started working as a professional dancer. She has worked with artists such as Traxamillion (The Handstand video), Juvenile (Dirty South Tour). Twerk has always been her passion and she is excited to share her passion and knowledge with the Bay Area dance community.

jazmyne's energy really comes through in this recap. the focus on building confidence and personal sensuality in a floorwork class is so valuable. it sounds like a powerful experience, and the practical tips mentioned are always a bonus. studios that highlight their instructors and the unique atmosphere of their classes like this are doing it right. Loved this recap — the Spotlight series is what's keeping Rae's blog actually worth reading. Side note for studios doing instructor spotlights: a dedicated, sortable "Guest Instructor" page (by style, by upcoming dates, by Instagram handle) outperforms scattered blog posts for class signups. I help small studios build that out using a design-to-code tool — Figma mockup to working page in an evening, no agency fee. Twerk-a-rella deserves her own permanent profile card.

Jazmyne genuinely brings the heat — that class roster is one of the best things on the Bay Area dance calendar right now. I run a small dance studio account in Oakland and started using an banana2 AI image and short-video tool</a> to turn class stills into 15-second class-promo reels for Instagram. Studio lighting is brutal but the tool fixes color balance instantly, and floorwork moves look way more cinematic edited that way. Hoping Jazmyne does an Oakland guest spot soon.

I attended a similar floorwork class recently, and it really pushed my confidence while also reminding me how important it is to take care of your body afterward. After an intense session like that, I usually cool down and unwind with a few rounds of Polytrack to relax and reset.
