Introducing our 2026 summer schedule starting July 1st. This season, we are proud to present an fresh lineup of classes led by our talented instructors from across the Bay Area. As our community continues to grow and new training opportunities arise, we look forward to continue to support folks in their dance journey. Regardless of your background, occupation or goals, we are proud to be a home to dancers of all walks of life. Let's continue reaching new heights, gathering new experiences and making connections as we learn and grow. Training season is full effect!
Thank you to our past instructors who will no longer be teaching at Rae Studios. We at Rae Studios always value our instructors and honor their growth as they continue to transition in life. For veteran and new teachers starting April 1st 2026, we are excited to start another season celebrating and highlighting your craft. Let's continue to support our local teachers this year by showing up ready to create new and memorable experiences. Just a reminder, every little action goes a long way. Bring a friend to class, write a testimonial, share your experience on your social channel or just tell an instructor about your gratitude. Most importantly, enjoy yourself. Rae Studios is proud to be the programming partner of the San Francisco Recreation & Parks and the Civic Center Community Benefit District, which support the free dance classes at UN Plaza, led by Rae Studios. We would like to inform you that dance classes at UN Plaza will go on hiatus for a July summer break as the plaza is being refreshed with new trees and other community events take place.
Please check our website, as well as the Civic Center Community Benefit District website, sfciviccenter.org, for updates on the class schedule for August.

Aneesh Bhatnagar (he/him)
Hip Hop [Beg/Int]
Tuesdays, 5:30pm (In-Studio)
Aneesh has been dancing since he was a kid, first training in Bollywood and leading his college dance team. Today he trains in street styles on Str8jacket and has fallen in love with hip-hop and house in particular.

Inez Schynell (she/her)
Twerk Choreo [Intermediate]
Tuesdays, 7:45pm (In-Studio)
Inez Schynell is a generational San Franciscan, professional choreographer, dance educator, and beauty entrepreneur who uses movement as a powerful tool for empowerment, identity reclamation, and wellness. Inez brings a multifaceted approach to her work as a Hip Hop Educator, Mental Health Awareness Educator, and founder of Ctrl Galore a platform created to redefine beauty narratives through dance, advocacy, and personal style.
Inez began training at the age of 7, starting with gymnastics before immersing herself in dance. Her passion for performance and storytelling led her to work with companies such as D-Fuse (specializing in West African and Nigerian Folklore) and GRRRL Brigade, where she trained in ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, and belly dance. She further honed her craft through programs and studios across the Bay Area and New York, eventually earning a dance scholarship to Notre Dame de Namur University.
As a signed model and dancer with Rae Agency, Inez has performed in national campaigns including Doechii’s “Anxiety” Promo, Fenty Beauty Foundation, GAP’s 2024 Linen Moves Campaign, and San Francisco Fashion Week, showcasing her versatility on and off the stage.
In 2022, she made a historic mark by choreographing five original pieces for the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop production “The Bronx Revolution and the Birth of Hip Hop,” directed by Joanna Haigood in collaboration with DJ Grandwizzard Theodore, the pioneer of the scratch technique. The performance celebrated hip hop’s legacy while honoring its revolutionary roots.
Currently, Inez teaches weekly Hip Hop and monthly TWERKnique classes at Dance Mission Theatre, and serves as a Hip Hop History Educator, Dance Teacher, and Mental Health Awareness Educator at MAX415. Through her artistry and advocacy, she inspires others to reclaim their power, express their truth, and promote justice one beat at a time.

Erin Yen (she/her)
Contemporary [Int/Adv]
Wednesdays, 6:30pm (In-Studio)
Erin Yen (she/her) is a contemporary dancer, dance teacher, and choreographer based out of San Francisco. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, she holds a BFA with distinction in Dance from the Ohio State University and is fluent in Laban Movement Analysis. Erin is the founder of dance company Dragons Dance, 501c3. Her choreography, an expression of her lived experiences and diverse dance training, has been featured throughout the Bay Area and online. In 2026, Erin’s choreography received an Isadora Duncan Dance Award (Izzie) for Outstanding Achievement in Direction or Choreography.

Ariana Pulley (she/her)
Hip Hop [Int/Adv]
Thursdays, 7:45pm (In-Studio)
Ariana has been dancing consistently for the past two years and plans to dance for the rest of her life. She grew up playing sports, but always loved music. She now finds joy in her ability to embody it.
She has been a part of several teams in the Bay Area (1UP Crew, Tribe Called Groove, The Weeknd Project, etc.), and is now venturing into the world of teaching. She is excited to share what she knows, exchange energy, and connect with new faces.

Malakai Dumo (he/him)
Hip Hop [Intermediate]
Saturdays, 11:00am-12:10pm
Malakai (he/him) is an up and coming dancer and choreographer with a strong focus on musicality and isolations. Originally a songwriter and musician, Malakai uses his strong musical background as a foundation when influencing his choreographing process and teaching apparatus to ensure that students understand counts at an educational level. Malakai strives for a safe environment with easy-going classes for dancers that may be new to intermediate level choreography.
Malakai comes from a background in K-Pop derived from an expressed interest by SM Entertainment. He also takes mostly from Hip-hop, with slight undertones of popping, jazz, and tutting. With only two years of dance training, Malakai has already taught pop-up workshops at City Dance in San Francisco, Silki Studios in Oakland, NewVillage.MOVE in Stockton, and Kreations Studio in Sacramento.

Chloe Gerungan (she/her)
Street Jazz [Int/Adv] | Saturdays, 12:15pm-1:25pm
Jazz Funk [Int/Adv] | Sundays, 12:15pm-1:25pm
Chloe is a dancer and choreographer based in the Bay Area. She started her dance journey back home in Jakarta, and then in Singapore. She went on to join collegiate teams at UC Berkeley and has trained with Bay Area teams like INQ and A Tribe Called Groove. She used to direct Full Out’s training team, QTZ and is now the co-director of the exhibition team Side Piece, performing at shows such as World of Dance, Prelude, Complex and Open Floor. Chloe’s main style draws influence from Hip-Hop, Jazz Funk and Commercial Choreo. Her classes emphasize performance, individuality and confidence. You can find her IG @chloegerungan
