RECAP | Commercial Choreo w/ JJ Ghera
On behalf of Rae Studios we want to give a huge thank you to JJ for coming into the studio once again and sharing his knowledge, expertise, and amazing energy with us. In his 4 hour Commercial Choreo Workshop, dancers learned a choreo combination and gained insight on how to perform for the camera and use it as a tool to emphasize their dancing. Thank you to all the dancers who came out and shared the space with JJ, you all came in ready to attack the movement and pushed through 4 hours of drilling, receiving and executing valuable feedback. Workshop Details:
Throughout the workshop, dancers will learn original commercial-style choreography while exploring movement quality, musicality, performance execution, retention, and stage presence. JJ’s teaching approach emphasizes not only how the movement looks, but why it works, helping dancers build a deeper understanding of performance, storytelling, and artistry.
Dancers will be challenged to push their comfort zones, take creative risks, and develop the confidence needed to command attention in both live and filmed performance settings. The workshop will include technical training, performance exercises, choreography breakdowns, cleaning sessions, and individualized feedback designed to help each dancer unlock their unique strengths.
The final portion of the workshop will be dedicated to professionally filmed video footage, allowing dancers to showcase the choreography and performance skills developed throughout the intensive. Participants will gain valuable on-camera experience while creating content that can be used for personal growth, social media, and professional portfolios.

JJ is a Bay Area native professional dancer, choreographer, producer and director having worked in the dance industry for the last 20 years. His credits include Little Mix, Rebecca Ferguson, Aaron Carter, Broadway Bares, and Slayground.
