RECAP | Back 2 Basics 90's Y2K Edition: Dancehall w/ Aimee Rose | Hosted by More Than Movement

Updated: Oct 30, 2023

On behalf of all of us at Rae Studios’ More Than Movement, a huge thank you for attending our Back 2 Basics Dancehall: 90s Y2K Edition with Aimee Rose (she/her). We are grateful for all of our students who showed up in their 90s/Y2K fits and grooved it out during the Dancehall workshop. Thank you to Aimee for returning for a third round and creating a fun class environment. We're already ready for round four!

In this workshop, Aimee went over dance moves that were created and popularized in the 90s and early 2000s, including Skanking and various Bogle steps such as the Willie Bounce and LOY.

We will familiarize ourselves with the movements that are the underlining groove of today's Dancehall steps, and we will learn to genuinely express ourselves using these movements as the basis of our dance freestyles that can be used at parties and otherwise!
